A Freezing Rain Advisory for Friday morning in the Berks County, the Lehigh Valley and up into the Poconos has expired, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory was in effect from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Temperatures were below freezing north and west of Philadelphia, and there was a little bit of precipitation in those areas. The NWS warned that untreated roads and walkways could become slick and urged extra caution.
By 11 a.m. the weather service reported that temperatures
had risen above the freezing mark, changing the precipitation over to rain. There might still be a few isolated locations receiving
freezing rain until noon or so, mainly in the higher elevations.
