Man killed by subway train in Manhattan

NEW YORK -

Authorities say a man has been struck and killed by a subway train in Manhattan.

It occurred at about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday at the 14th Street and First Avenue station in the East Village.

The victim was struck by a southbound L train and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police and fire officials had no other details.
