Deadly South Philly Shooting Could Have Mob TiesMore>>
Reputed mob soldier Anthony Nicodemo is in police custody. He's a person of interest in the death of a 50-year-old man found shot in a pick-up truck---right in front of his South Philly home on Iseminger.
"I heard five," one neighbor said about the number of shots fired. "Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!" he sounded off.
Homicide detectives questioned several people who witnessed the shooting.
Sources tell FOX 29 they took down the license plate of a black vehicle racing away around 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
When cops ran the tags, the vehicle came back registered to Anthony Nicodemo.
Late into the night, Philly Police stood guard at the made-man's South Philly home on 17th street.
They also kept a close eye on his black Range Rover parked in the back--waiting for a search warrant to see if there was a weapon inside.
Nicodemo was also taken into custody for questioning.
Thru the window of their South Philly row house you can see Nicodemo's family was clearly home. But they didn't want to talk about the deadly shooting that happened a half block from their house.
A shooting neighbors say left a 50-year-old father of two dead.
Sources tell us may have been the result of the convicted drug dealer talking about a mob murder from nine-years ago.
We do know the victim's name but aren't releasing it at this time.
We're told police might also be looking for a second suspect involved in the shooting.
