LANSDALE, Pa. -

A Lansdale woman is grateful to still have her 14-yaer-old cat "Blondie" after a man allegedly stomped on him and kicked him.

The man, Mieczyslaw Zwolinski, now faces animal cruelty charges following the December 4th incident, according to police.

Police say they responded to Walnut Street for a report of a disturbance.  According to a witness, a cat wandered onto Zwolinski's property.   The man became angry and then allegedly proceeded to kick and stomp on the cat.

Margaret Dawson tells FOX 29's Lauren Cohn her cat got confused when he got out of the house and ended up in front of a home two doors down. When the cat meowed, Dawson says the resident's dogs began to bark. That's when she says Zwolinski attacked her cat.

Dawson says her neighbor eventually managed to get him to back off the cat.

FOX 29 was not able to get a comment from Zwolinski about the alleged incident.

Dawson says her cat's prognosis is good after he was treated by a nearby veterinarian. He is now recovering at home.

Police say Zwolinski will have to appear in court.
