PHILADELPHIA -

Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are searching for the man who walked into a Beneficial Bank demanding cash Monday.

Investigators say the bank robbery happened at 1:30 p.m. at the Beneficial Bank on the 800 block of Allegheny Avenue.

The man walked into the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, according to investigators.

The man then walked out of the bank and left the area on foot.

The FBI describes the suspect as a black man in his early 30s who is between 5'9" and 5'10" inches tall. The man is said to have a well-groomed full beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a purple and orange Phoenix Suns baseball cap with a black jump suit.

Police say the man may be wearing green contact lenses.

The man is considered to be armed and dangerous.

If you have any information, you're asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department or the FBI at 215-418-4000.

A spokesperson for the FBI says there may be a reward for information leading to the suspect's capture.
