Bomb Threat Prompts Closure Of Lehigh Co. School

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA -

A bomb threat specific to Emmaus High School in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania will close the school Friday, administrators announced.

According to a statement posted on the high school's website, Emmaus High School will be closed to "ensure the safety of our staff and students."

The school says it received a bomb treat specific to the high school building.

The district says all other district buildings were scheduled to be open.

All Emmaus high School activities were also canceled for Friday.

The school is part of the East Penn School District and has a student population of nearly 8,000 students district-wide.
