Fatal shooting at Brooklyn diner

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

An argument inside a Brooklyn diner turned deadly when a man was shot early Sunday morning.

Police say two men got into a dispute around 5:00 a.m. inside the Country House Diner on Fulton Street in Fort Greene.

One of the men pulled out a small caliber weapon and shot Jason Lewis, 34, in the abdomen.

EMS crews took Lewis to Brooklyn Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities are not clear what caused the argument but it appears both men involved were customers.

Police say a man who was taken into custody, Tyrone Gainer, 27, of Brooklyn, was later arrested on a charge of murder.
