GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. -

A grieving family says they were shocked to learn of a memorial service for a deceased uncle they didn't plan.

Last month, the family of Leroy Bonner had a funeral and buried the 81-year-old in Camden's Harleigh Cemetery.

They were shocked to open the newspaper this week to find another obituary printed weeks after his death.

In the new obituary, a request for money in the dead man's name was made.

The second obituary, printed on January 3rd, announces a second memorial service at Gloucester City's Lighthouse Baptist Church for Monday night.

The problem, according to Bonner's family who claims power of attorney, is that they didn't know about the service and didn't authorize any donations.

"This is hurtful and we're trying to mourn and we're trying to heal and it's like, he just died yesterday," Anna Fabrizi-Groves, Bonner's niece, said.

Pastor Jim Doster tells FOX 29's Chris O'Connell his wishes were very well known and that Bonner was an active member of the church for 17-years. The pastor claims the service at the church is what Bonner would have wanted.

As for the request for donations in the obituary, Pastor Doster says it's not about the money.
