Police have made an arrest in connection with the violent slashing of a 23-year old South Philadelphia woman last November.
Cory Harley, 30, is the man police say slashed the young woman several times and left her to bleed out on the cold sidewalk.
Ashley Hackett almost lost her life in that encounter on 9th Street near Catherine last Fall.
Ashley was walking home when the man, wearing a distinctive white hoodie, slashed her.
Badly cut, Ashley struggled down the block to her home as neighbors came to her rescue and called 9-1-1.
Ashley received over 100 stitches in her face and her arm was temporarily in a sling.
Ashley and her family have stood strong since the ordeal. They were all together over the holidays, hoping someone would step forward.
