Cathy Rigby is 60-years-old, but she looks more like 40 and moves like a teenager.
"I've done the role enough times to know how to do it without white knuckling it," she said.
She's a pro. She's been playing Peter Pan on stage for 20 years with great reviews, but before she was an actress, she was a gymnast. That discipline and her training habits make Peter Pan come easy to her.
"I think you get smarter the older you get in training and I think physically, I'm in better shape," she said.
She's always been in great shape. It's a habit. She says her secret to longevity is to follow her heart.
"We get to the point when we get older where we say this is who I am, this is what I do, this is what I love. There's a freshness that happens with your life."
She flies on stage and Cathy says she even flies in her dreams.
Rigby competed in the 1968 and 1972 summer Olympics and was the first American woman to win a medal at a World Gymnastics Championship.
Tickets for Peter Pan are on sale at Gammage. Rigby says it's a play for kids, but adults enjoy it too.
