"Who would do this kind of thing?" said David Steinberg. Someone took a knife to nearly two dozen tires in his neighborhood. The senseless act caught all off guard.
"Wow, bam there's a reality check," said Cindy Steinberg. The slasher got two cars of at her house. All four tires slashed on one and two on the other.
"One of them is $514.93 and the other is 485.30. That's like $1000," the Steinbergs said as they looked over a bill for new tires they were forced to purchase. They're out of a lot of money they didn't plan on spending.
"We had to bite the bullet on this and I don't know what affect it's going to have on our finances," said David.
Police say cars up and down the 100 and 200 blocks of 8th Street had tires slashed. It happened around 11:30 Tuesday night while most people were asleep.
"There's not much you can do," said Sarah Aceaise. Her cars were also targeted.
"It's a pain. It's a hassle more than anything else," she said.
Repairmen were out towing cars and fixing flats all day. But with the slasher still out there, neighbors say it's going to be a long and restless night.
David said, "I would say whoever it is probably has some very serious anger issues. Why they taking it out on innocent neighbors, I have no idea."
No one reported seeing or hearing anything. If you have any information call Haddon Heights Police.
