17-year-old shot in West Pullman alley

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A teen was shot in a West Pullman neighborhood alley Sunday afternoon.

The 17-year-old victim was in the east alley in the 11700 block of South Normal Avenue about 12:30 p.m. when he was shot in the shoulder, according to police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.

The teen was taken to Roseland Community Hospital in an unknown condition, Estrada said.

The motive for the shooting was not yet known and no one was in custody.

Area South detectives are investigating.
