Author Brad Meltzer's new book about a serial killer who is recreating all the presidential assassins says he's found similarities among each of the four killers.

The host of History channel's 'Decoded,' spoke with GDNY on Tuesday about his latest book, 'The Fifth Assassin.'

"None of them do drugs.  They don't drink. They're meticulously neat and they're all men with a cause.  They're are two types of assassins: hunters and howlers. Hunters make plans and they execute them. Hunters aren't interested in howling. All four of them, from John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, were hunters" said Meltzer.

Meltzer will be trying to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the most Decoder rings in a single place.

The event takes place at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square Tuesday at 7 p.m.
