DETROIT (WJBK) -- Ford calls the MKC Concept the next breakthrough in the reinvention of the Lincoln line.

CEO Alan Mulally underscores Ford's commitment to the Lincoln brand.

"Lincoln remains a significant part of the Ford Motor Company going forward, and we are excited to serve our customers with the luxury vehicles they want and they value."

The MKC is a small, four passenger SUV concept.  It sports a split wing grill, a style brought back from the 1930s when Lincoln ruled the world, more efficient lighting enabling a thinner design in the front, and the body contour shows what the carmaker calls strength and grace.

Ford Chairman Bill Ford, Junior says Lincoln knows who the customer is.

"A brand dedicated to not being all things to all people, but everything to a certain few."
