Detroit's Keri Lynn Roche auditioned on IDOL and is moving onto the Hollywood rounds. "Randy Jackson said, 'you might just sell platinum records one day,'" said Roche.
Roche's story was not always a positive one. In order to audition on IDOL, Roche had to overcome some personal difficulties. "I feel like it is a part of my experience to be able to share that I got sober and that I struggled, but I'm here now and I'm able to talk about it and I'm not ashamed of it anymore, it's part of who I am," said Roche.
According to Roche, all judges were awesome, very positive and they all said 'yes'. Roche used to think IDOL was a staged, packaged product and did not want to be a part of the show. She expected that the judges would be very harsh, and came in expecting the worst. She was welcomed to the Hollywood rounds and has been smiling ever since.
