The Transportation Security Administration is removing some controversial body scanners from the nation's airports.
TSA officials are announcing they will no longer use scanners made by Rapiscan systems as of June 1st because the manufacturing company cannot fix privacy concerns.
The Rapiscan technology is known to display naked images of travelers passing through the scanners.
Congress required the company to develop software that was considered less invasive, but the TSA believes Rapiscan will not be able to meet their June 1st deadline.
The agency plans to continue using scanners that are considered less invasive -- ones that provide more generic images.
