NEW YORK (AP) -- Gasoline is slightly cheaper in New York City this week.

That's just 1.9 cents per gallon higher than at this time last year, but 49 cents per gallon higher than the national average.

GasBuddy surveyed 1,088 gas outlets in the city to determine the average price.
