NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Police hope a tiny pig charm helps identify remains found on a Long Island beach.

A woman walking her dog along the north shore found human remains on Monday afternoon, police said.

Nassau County cops said the skeletal remains, discovered at the end of Sheep Lane in Lattingtown, appear to be a woman between 20 and 30 years old.

Police released a photograph of a gold necklace with a gold pig charm found at the scene.

If you recognize the necklace or have any other information, please contact the Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS or the Homicide Squad at 516-573-7789.
