LIVONIA, Mich. (WJBK) -- It was smooth shaven versus stubble in Livonia on Thursday.  Couples put their kiss to the test on the campus of Schoolcraft College.  It was part of the Gillette Kiss and Tell Tour.

Gillette is asking couples to help determine if stubble is the trouble for the decline of the kiss.

Men were asked to show up with stubble and kiss their partner.  Then they shaved and the couple kissed again.

"I like the beard.  I don't really notice that it's there when I'm kissing him because I'm not focused on his beard.  But I'm definitely going to notice that it's gone," Ariel Convery said before Corey Grunewald shaved.

"I still miss the beard, but it's pretty soft," she remarked afterwards.

Anyone can participate in this experiment online at www.kissandtellus.com.

National results will be announced on Valentine's Day.
