Lots of people struggle to keep those New Year's diet resolution going. Wouldn't it be nice to get a little help?
One valley company came up with a solution to fight food cravings and help keep that weight off. Badstick -- call it the smell of willpower.
Creator Tricia Brynski lost 12 pounds using it. Whenever you have cravings for junk food, wave the fragrance stick under your nose and take a whiff.
"It is fragrance beads, but it's essentially just a mixture of fragrance," says Brynski.
"The idea came from 12 years of wanting to lose weight… in drinking and joking with friends I was sure that the best diet pill would be something that made you nauseous so you wouldn't eat, but that is not something you should do, so the idea progressed to what about an unpleasant smell that would be something similar to finding a hair in your food so you wouldn't eat. My description is 'unpleasant,' it doesn't really smell like anything specific, it just turns you off in that moment."
The Badstick costs $19.99 and there is free shipping.
