Carlos Zacarias
TUCSON, Ariz. -
A man wanted for first degree murder in Tucson has finally been apprehended after 5 months on the run.
Carlos Zacarias, 29, had several outstanding warrants, including one for murder in the August 30 homicide of Gray Eagle Joseph Ortiz.
Zacarias was captured on January 23 when detectives issued a traffic stop on a vehicle they had been monitoring.
The passenger of the vehicle was positively identified as Zacarias. He was booked into the Pima County Jail.
A second man wanted in the crime, Juan Gabriel Salomon, 34, is still sought.
A motive for the killing is unknown.
