NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -
Police on Long Island say they confiscated a huge amount of drugs and a cache of weapons after witnessing a drug buy.
Nassau County police say two Franklin Square men are under arrest in connection with the case.
It happened on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 5:20 p.m.
Police arrested Gabriel Dipierno, 26, of 306 Rintin Street after they say he sold six envelopes of what appeared to be heroin to Kenneth J. Butler II, 28, of 965 Naple Avenue.
Officers found 20 Suboxone pills, nine white Alprazolam pills, additional envelopes believed to contain heroin, Klonopin, Valium and Clonazapam pills in Dipierno's car.
Detectives got a search warrant for Dipierno's home.
They say they found more than 4,000 tablets of anabolic steroids, several hundred bottles of liquid anabolic steroids and plastic bags containing many other types of pills.
Police say they also found a collection of assault rifles, two shotguns and assorted ammunition and magazines.
Commercial grade explosives, digital scales and more than $7,000 was also in the home, according to police.
Dipierno faces several weapons and drug charges.
Butler faces a single drug charge.
Both men were to be arraigned on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Hempstead. Nassau County police were planing a news conference to release more information.
