DETROIT (WJBK) -- FOX 2's Charlie LeDuff has been named Deadline Detroit's Journalist of the Year for 2012.

Over the past 12 months, LeDuff's investigations have led to, among other things, the resignation of Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee and Deputy Fire Commissioner Fred Wheeler. His reports have also shed light on the federal investigation into Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano.

His unique storytelling points out major flaws in city government, including a lack of response time for Detroit police, fire and EMS.

LeDuff was first to uncover a nude photo texted by Wayne County Circuit Judge Wade McCree to a subordinate. His subsequent story about McCree's affair with a complaining witness in his courtroom led to his suspension.

Golf the streets of Detroit? Sit down with the much-maligned Matt Moroun? Yep, he done those as well, along with dozens of other memorable stories.

You can watch them all here on Charlie's page.

His latest book, "Detroit: An American Autopsy," will hit bookstores in February.
