The Arizona Daily Sun reports (http://bit.ly/WhAtQv) that the monthly average temperature of nearly 24 degrees was the 16th coldest.
The chilly temperatures last month came from a 5-day cold snap.
The cold snap between Jan. 11 and 15 saw a record low of minus 18 degrees in Fort Valley on Jan. 15 and a record low in Flagstaff for Jan. 13 of minus 7.
