Worker killed in explosion in Elizabeth

NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

Two workers were working on the refrigeration system in a deli in Elizabeth, N.J., when some sort of explosion happened, officials said.

One worker was killed and the other critically hurt, Fox 5 News has leaned.

The workers were using an acetylene torch, Mayor Chris Bollwage said.

The explosion happened at East Jersey Street and 3rd Street at about 7:40 p.m., officials said.
