Investigators with Delaware State Police say the gunman in Monday morning's New Castle County Courthouse shooting died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The New Castle County Courthouse in Wilmington reopened Wednesday for the first time since a gunman entered the lobby and opened fire, killing two women.
The court house opened only to court workers. Jurors and other non-court workers are scheduled to return to the courthouse Thursday.
On Monday morning, investigators say 68-year-old Thomas Matusiewicz walked into the courthouse lobby and shot Christine Belford and her friend Laura Mulford, killing both of them.
Two officers working inside of the courthouse were shot in their bullet proof vests and sustained minor injuries.
Investigators determined on Tuesday that Matusiewicz died as the result of a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head.
Delaware State Police are still investigating Monday morning's shooting.
