Arrest Made In Connection To Gun Found At Philly School

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia police say they have made an arrest in connection to a startling discovery at a North Philadelphia elementary school earlier this week.

On Monday, police say a 7-year-old brought a loaded gun to John F. Reynolds Elementary School in and showed it off to his friends.

No one was hurt and district officials say students notified school police and the gun was recovered.

According to police, 32-year-old Latanya Pressley was taken into custody Wednesday in connection to the case. Pressley faces Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act, police said.

Pressley is a friend of the child's mother, according to police.
