Seal rescued in Queens

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Biologists have rescued a seal from a Queens beach.

The 44-pound Yearling harp seal was found on Rockaway Beach.

He is being treated for dehydration and is currently resting in a rehabilitation tank at the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation.

Officers from the NYC Parks Dept. and New York State DEC assisted in rescuing the seal on Monday afternoon.
