The valley job market is getting a big boost from a new business looking to fill 140 positions. Most of those positions don't require a resume -- but require a special something else.
The Twin Peaks restaurant line is growing very fast. They have over 25 locations throughout the country.
One will open next week off Camelback Road and 21st St in Phoenix, and they are looking for new hires who have lots of personality.
It's no job interview. It's an audition!
"Hi my name is Courtney and I'm 21 and I want to work at Twin Peaks because I like to express myself," says hopeful hiree.
Twin Peak Girl-hopefuls wear the "lumber Jill costume" with pride. The boots, shorts and cropped top are the restaurant's signature look.
140 positions are up for grabs at the Twin Peaks Bar and Restaurant off Camelback Road in Phoenix.
The women are expected to pass written quizzes and are taught the tricks of the trade from an elite group of trainers.
It is sensory overload here in the restaurant, and no I'm not just talking about the wait staff. There are animals on the wall, there are over 65 screens and the thing they take the most pride in -- the coldest beer in town coming in at 26 degrees.
All the food is made from scratch.
"There are a lot of perks at the peaks," says operations partner Carolyn Vangelos.
Vangelos says women hired will get gym and tanning memberships, opportunities to model, and be a part of a Twin Peaks calendar.
So bring you're a-game -- lots of personality -- and don't worry if you've never served before. They tell me no waitress experience is necessary to land this job!
"You just gain so much confidence working here, your people skills go out the roof," says Chloe Khazali.
The restaurant will open Monday. The company likes to promote from within, so there is plenty of job growth opportunities once you've been hired.
