Another Weak Friday Night Storm For Our Area

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Well, we've had some kind of winter weather on all but one Friday night 2013, so far.

And it's going to happen again tonight.

As you know, it hasn't amounted to much snow because we have escaped all of the big storms, like that blizzard in New England.

The storm currently pounding the Midwest will bring a little something here before the end of the day, but once again we are not expecting it to be much in our area.

The National Weather Service has a Winter Weather Advisory posted for western portions of Chester, Montgomery and Bucks counties, as well as Berks County, the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos from 7 p.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday for a little bit of snow.

CHECK ANYTIME: Weather Warnings, Watches, Advisories

We're coming off a windy couple of days. Thursday's peak wind gust in Philadelphia was 36 mph, and they were slightly higher at other points around the region, making it feel so much colder than it actually was.

Those winds will be calming down a bit today, but we are still dealing with wind chills in the teens. Before sunrise in Philly it was 26 degrees but felt like 18.

"Don't let up your guard! You have to bundle up those kids once again," Fox 29's Sue Serio said. "Make sure they are dressed in layers today."

We will get to a high of 40 degrees. We'll probably see flurries by the end of the day, but it is much later, after 7 or 8 p.m. when we will get precipitation that changes over to all rain on Saturday.

After a rainy start to the weekend, we should be drying out by Sunday. And there's a bit of a warming trend after that.

Sue has the complete details in her seven-day forecast video above.
