WILMINGTON, Del. -

State police in Delaware are searching for the suspect who they say reached over the counter of a gas station in Wilmington and grabbed money right out of a clerk's hand Saturday night.

The robbery happened around 7:20 p.m. at the Exxon station on the 5300 block of Concord Pike.

Police say the man entered the station and asked the clerk about a gas purchase right before he reached over the counter and took the money. The clerk was in the process of placing the money in the register when the man took it.

The suspect then got into a maroon SUV and drove out of the parking lot. He was last seen heading north on Concord Pike towards Pennsylvania, police said.

Investigators describe the suspect as a black man standing 5'9" to 5'11" tall and weighing around 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black mask and a white T-shirt.

If you have any information in connection to the robbery, you're asked to call the Delaware State Police Robbery Unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630, extension 6. You can also call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
