A Maryland man was arrested Sunday by police in New Castle County, Delaware for allegedly taking a money from the main office of a school he was hired to clean.
Police say their investigation started on Tuesday when the Hockessin, Delaware school reported money was taken from a "pizza fund" and a "petty cash fund," both of which were held in a locked cabinet.
Investigators say they were able to collect enough evidence that linked 56-year-old Frederick Lyle of Lyle Janitorial Service to the burglary incident.
New Castle County Police say they were able to link the janitor to another burglary that happened in October 2012 that went unreported at the school. Police say in both incidents the lock to the cabinet was removed and replaced with an identical lock.
