Rain Arrives, Showers To Continue Through Wednesday

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

The rain that arrived in the Delaware Valley Tuesday evening could bring between half of an inch to an inch to our area by Wednesday.

The rain was part of a storm making its way from the Chicago area. In the Midwest, temperatures were cold enough to produce snow. But as the storm reached the Delaware Valley, warmer temperatures combined with moisture from the Atlantic will keep this mainly a rain event.

FOX 29 Chief Meteorologist Scott Williams says the storm still could bring snow to some areas. Residents in the Poconos could see between 2-4 inches of snow by the time the storm moves out.

By 10 p.m. Tuesday night, widespread heavy rain is expected to reach our area, making for a wet Wednesday morning commute.

More rain is expected on Thursday but for the first time this month, we do not have precipitation in the forecast for Friday night.
