It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. This is a tale of two Greenfields.
Greenfield Road south of Nine Mile, that is the Southfield side, is pockmarked with asphalt acne and concrete crows feet every four feet.
Driving northbound on the Oak Park side on Greenfield, literally the other side of the median, is to saunter in pristine, luxurious "smoothitude," which got us to realize Oak Park has some pretty nice roads.

"We have great public infrastructure. There's no question about it," said City Manager Erik Tungate.
He told me the reason the roads are so loveable is that residents want it that way and they willingly pay for it.
