Mayor Greg Stanton talks about USAA creating jobs in Phoenix at a news conference - March 5, 2013.
There's good news for job seekers -- as many as 1,000 new jobs are coming to the valley.
USAA plans to add the positions at their north Phoenix campus within the next three years.
The positions include member contact representatives in investments, insurance, banking and claims; underwriters, information security specialists; business and financial analysts; and modeling and statistical analysts.
The company is expanding in San Antonio and Phoenix.
"Demand has never been stronger for all that USAA offers, and we need to continue to have the best employees in sufficient numbers," said Joe Robles, USAA's CEO. "We're committed to every community where we currently have operations and are expanding first in San Antonio and Phoenix."
In April, USAA plans to break ground on construction of a 380,000 square foot expansion on its building in Phoenix. Officials expect phase 1 of construction to be completed by 2014.
Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton said, "USAA creates great jobs for Phoenix and great work for veterans. We will continue to work relentlessly on bringing high-quality jobs like these to Phoenix."
