9 Arrested In Philly Prostitution Bust

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Nine people, including a teenager, now face prostitution charges after a bust at a Philadelphia club late last week.

According to police, members of the Citywide Vice along with members of Liquor Control Enforcement conducted what they call a "speakeasy operation" at Twisters MC Club on the 5700 block of Hoffman Street.

Investigators say the operation was the result of numerous complaints made to police alleging members of the club acted unruly late into the night.

Officers say several surveillances led to the discovery that the club was not licensed and had become a place where women were soliciting money from customers for sex acts.

The nine arrested, ranging from 17 to 44-years of age, face narcotics, prostitution and other related charges.

Police say more than 60 bottles of alcohol were confiscated along with more than $700.
