Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

Posted: Updated:

St. Patrick's Day is Sunday, March 17, and it gives all of us -- Irish or not -- an excuse to celebrate the Irish and have a good time with friends.

Green clothes, green food, and green beer can be found at many celebrations, and parades will be held in many cities. Atlanta will hold its 130th annual St. Patrick's Day parade on Saturday at noon. It starts at Peachtree Street and Ralph McGill Boulevard, head south to Woodruff Park, and ends at Five Points on Marietta Street.

And Ri Ra Irish Pub on Peachtree Street is hosting a five-day celebration for St. Patrick's Day, ending with a huge block party on the big day! It's your chance to see traditional Irish dancing, and eat Irish cuisine!

OUR GOOD DAY HOT TOPIC QUESTION: How do you honor your true ethnic heritage? Home or office -- where would you be most productive? Post your comments on our FOX 5 Atlanta Facebook page, or tweet us @GoodDayAtlanta.
