WILMINGTON, Del. -

What started as a firearm investigation ended in the discovery of nearly 900 bags of heroin, along with marijuana, a gun and hundreds of dollars in a Wilmington home Tuesday.

Wilmington police say Keith Brandon was arrested after an early morning search warrant was executed at a home on the 1400 block of West 5th Street.

During the search, police say they seized a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, 890 bags of heroin, 9 bags of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $735.

Police say Brandon is a convicted felon and drug offender.
