SALEM COUNTY, N.J. -

A photo posted to Facebook of a Salem County boy holding a rifle he was given by his father as a birthday present resulted in a visit from local police and child welfare case workers.

Shawn Moore, who lives in Carneys Point, says he bought his son a .22 caliber hunting weapon for his 11th birthday after he completed a hunting test.

Police say they received an anonymous call regarding the child's welfare, prompting the visit.

Moore says when police showed up without a warrant and the person from child welfare refused to give her name, he turned them all away.
