When you're fighting cancer, you're fighting for your life and sometimes it can be tough to keep up with the every day tasks.

Some local companies, however, are working to help women undergoing cancer treatment by giving them one less thing to worry about by cleaning their homes.

The service is something Laura Scott, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, relies on. She currently undergoes an aggressive treatment, which she says cuts into her energy levels.

"One of the things is it zaps your energy level. You just don't have the energy to do it all and you can't do it all," Scott told FOX 29's Stephanie Esposito.

Thanks to companies like Cleaning For A Reason and Professional Building Services, Inc., Scott doesn't have to do it all by herself.
