Fire destroys restaurant in West Milford

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The popular restaurant Cafe Amore in West Milford, New Jersey was destroyed in an early morning fire.

Smoke was billowing hours after the flames erupted inside the Italian Restaurant at about 4 a.m. Friday on Warwick Turnpike and Magnolia Road.

SkyFoxHD was overhead where pockets of fire and heavy, billowing smoke could be seen as firefighters battled the inferno.

Firefighters attempted to control the flames, but the building was quickly engulfed in fire.

Warwick Turnpike was closed in both directions at Magnolia Road.

There were no reports of injuries.

It is not clear what sparked the inferno.

The family operated restaurant opened in 2001 and served cuisine from northern Italy, according to the website.
