PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia police say a Thursday morning incident in which members of the department's SWAT team swarmed a Feltonville neighborhood was the result of what turned out to be a fabricated story from four students.

Police were called out to the 200 block of East Courtland Street and the area around the Feltonville Intermediate School after four children reported what they thought was a gun pointed at them as they were walking to school.

According to police, the four students claimed the gun was pointed at them by a woman at a home on the 4600 block of Ella Street.

As a precaution, two area schools were placed on lockdown.

Police say no weapons were found at the alleged home and no arrests were made. The homeowners were notified of the alleged incident and cooperated with investigators.
