SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Auntie Anne's is looking to make things right with customers after word spread that things got a little messy at their location in Oakland Mall.

"We had a dispute over some dip, and our employee didn't, unfortunately, follow our guest procedure," said Lovell Holloway with Auntie Anne's.

Last weekend, two customers and an employee got into an all out brawl after one customer was given the wrong pretzel dip.  The two females tried to return the dip, but the employee tried to charge them.  The three started to fight after police reported the employee threw nacho cheese dip on the customers.  The customers climbed over the counter and knocked over a pretzel machine.  The brawl made such a buzz on social media, the COO of the company took to YouTube to apologize.

"Pretzels are supposed to be a fun treat, and my expectations are that all our guests are treated with respect and leave our stores with a very positive experience," said Bill Dunn.

Now metro Detroit gets to reap the rewards of the unfortunate fiasco.

"We're going to actually give out free dip, free dipping sauces, so it's going to be a great event," Holloway explained.

You can get free pretzel dip at any of the twelve metro Detroit Auntie Anne's locations on Friday only.

The president of Auntie Anne's reached out to the two customers involved in the brawl to apologize.  The employee was suspended.
