Police Seeking Day Care Burglar Who Took Kids' PC

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

A man in Germantown wasn't satisfied just taking candy from babies. He took their computer, too, police say.

Now investigators are trying to identify the man who stole from a day care center in Germantown.

Police say that a man was caught on video early Sunday morning, when he forced his way into the Kids are Fit Day Care Center, located at 6110 Germantown Avenue. He took the center's all-in-one touchscreen desktop computer, put it in his bag, and left the building heading south on Germantown Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s. He had a medium complexion and various tattoos on his face, neck, and the backs of his hands. At the time of the burglary, he had a beard, mustache, and side-burns. He wore a maroon-colored hooded sweatshirt with white drawstrings, gray cargo pants, red sneakers and carried a tan shoulder bag.

Anyone with information on this suspect should call police at 215-686-8477, text 773847, or submit a tip online.
