Time to get ready for the Peachtree Road Race

ATLANTA -

There are only 84 days remaining until thousands hit the street for the Peachtree Road Race. If you plan on running in the race, the time to start training is now! Tracey Russell, the executive director of the Atlanta Track Club, stopped by Good Day Atlanta with a few tips to get you ready for the race.

Training Tips:

  1. Invest in good running shoes
  2. Have a plan and stick to it to prevent injury
  3. Find a running buddy
  4. Listen to your body
  5. Stay hydrated, especially as temperatures climb
  6. In-Training for Peachtree starts April 27
