Latest Wrigley proposal includes stadium wall extensions

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

After weeks of intense negotiations, a deal may be near to renovate Wrigley Field.

The Wrigley Field renovation deal is closer than ever to gaining approval, according to Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

The latest proposal calls for the right and left field stadium walls to be extended out about 10 feet, which would take over the sidewalk and a portion of Waveland.

That would give the stadium more concession space and limit the impact that sponsored elements might have on rooftop viewing.

No word on when or if a vote could come for the proposed $300 million renovation plan.
