PHOENIX -

Authorities say someone called police saying a vehicle was filled with explosives and it was set to detonate in a hotel parking lot near 17th Avenue and Bell Road.

This happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday at the hotel's parking lot when a man tried set himself and a car on fire.

After firefighters put out the flames, the hotel received the 911 call about a bomb threat.

Phoenix Police evacuated 47 people from the Victory Inn hotel and brought in bomb-sniffing dogs.

Officers are talking to the man who tried to set himself on fire and say this is a domestic issue -- a love triangle.

The man believes the husband of the woman he is seeing is after him.

Police say no explosives were found in the car or the hotel, and employees and guests were let back in after about 90 minutes.

No names have been released in this case.
