Following a flurry of activity over several social media websites, the family of missing Radnor native and Brown University student Sunil Tripathi issued a statement regarding the false accusations that Sunil was involved with the Boston bombings.

The Tripathi family statement reads, in part:

The FBI and local authorities have positively identified the suspects responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings, confirming that missing Brown University student Sunil Tripathi is not involved. The last eighteen hours have generated tremendous and painful attention--on social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit, as well as from television media inquiries--linking Sunil to the video stills released by the FBI yesterday afternoon. "Unequivocally, we have known that neither individual suspected as responsible for the incident in Boston was Sunil," said Akhil Tripathi, his father.

The family reiterated that they will tirelessly continue to search for Sunil.  Anyone that wishes to lend support can contact the family using, helpusfindsuniltripathi@gmail.com
