VOORHEES, N.J. -

Several homes in a Voorhees, New Jersey neighborhood were evacuated Sunday afternoon after police say a man barricaded himself inside a home.

FOX 29's Chris O'Connell reports the man was taken into police custody four hours after the situation began. It's not yet clear if he was armed.

Police say they were called to the home after a 26-year-old man with a restraining order against him showed up at his parents house. The parents called 911. Police have not said why the man had a restraining order against him.

The home is located on Burnham Lane in The Beagle Club neighborhood, a residential neighborhood in Voorhees.

Neighbors told FOX 29 News they had to evacuate briefly while police worked to get the suspect to come out.
