Man Hands Teller Demand Note, Leaves North Philly Bank Empty-Handed

PHILADELPHIA -

A man who handed a teller a note at a North Philadelphia bank Monday afternoon ended up leaving empty-handed.

Police say a man walked into the PNC Bank branch on the 3200 block of North Broad Street just before 3 p.m.

According to investigators, the man entered the bank and handed the teller a demand note. Eventually, police say the man left the bank and was last seen heading south on Broad Street on foot.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his late 30s to early 40s. The man stood approximately 6'2" tall and had a slim build with a beard. Police say he was last seen with a black hat and dark-colored jacket.
